Frequently asked
Highwire requests read-only access to your iOS calendar through Apple's standard permission system. You'll be asked to grant access the first time you open the app. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars. Highwire never writes to your calendar without a deliberate action from you.
All your data lives on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate servers that hold your family's information. Your iCloud data is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy terms — we cannot access it.
Go to the Family tab and tap the + button. You can fill in their details yourself, or send them an invite via text or email so they can add their own preferences — favorite meals, dietary needs, schedule details.
All-day events like birthdays and holidays should not generate conflicts — if you're seeing these, please email us with a description and we'll address it in the next update. Genuine time-overlap conflicts between two scheduled events are intentional — Highwire flags these so you can decide how to handle them.
Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple. To cancel: open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Highwire Family → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete All Data. This removes all data from your device and iCloud. To also remove iCloud data manually: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Highwire Family → Delete. You can also email us at privacy@highwirefamily.com and we'll confirm deletion within 30 days.
Go to Meals → Your Meals and add the dishes your family already makes regularly. Highwire will build plans from this baseline first, and only suggest new meals gradually. The app should reflect your family's actual life, not a generic template.
Yes. Your data syncs across all your devices via iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple ID on each device and your data will be available everywhere.
